We've heard this adage
before. But this couple took the words to heart. With a
newly built house on a flat acre in Atherton, this couple wanted to have a
'party house' for them and their friends.
Large nana doors seamlessly
integrate the indoors and outdoors. An indoor/outdoor fireplace and
sitting area, a large pool for exercise and play, ample lawn for a makeshift
volleyball court, outdoor bbq and fountain with seat wall all work together
to create this adult playground. With lots of seat walls to create
passive seating, the couple can accommodate large groups in a casual bbq
style.
Flowering perennials form a
constant progression of color throughout the seasons. Whimsy in the
form of playful sculpture throughout the landscape achieve reflect the
owners' personalities and make this place even more 'their own'.
