Philosophy
Berg Designs
is an exterior design studio. We place you and your family at the center of
our design process.
We practice garden design as a collaborative process between ourselves and
you, the homeowner, often drawing on other subject matter experts (link to
collaborators) to round out the picture of your garden in terms of water
features, hardscaping, garden art or illumination.
We view the landscape around your home as a series of outdoor rooms, spaces
that benefit from the same foundational elements that define indoor rooms.
And we strive to integrate your indoor and outdoor spaces, making them work
as a seamless set of usable, beautiful places.
While this requires careful planning and design skills, we understand our
role is to first draw out your ideas and expectations for both the ideal and
the most useful garden, and then apply our landscape
design expertise to customize your plans.
Our goal is to create a landscape design that tends to your aesthetic tastes
and goals for the garden, while also reflecting how you relax, entertain and
play in the great outdoors. |
